Choosing Your First AI Use Case

Start with a specific workflow, not a tool. The best first AI project is usually a focused task with clear inputs, a checkable output and a team that can own the process.

Look for repetitive work

Consider tasks such as finding information in approved documents, preparing a first draft or summarising routine material. Identify where people spend time and where a better workflow would be useful.

Check the foundations

Before building, confirm that the necessary information is available and appropriate to use. Decide who reviews the output, what errors matter and how the workflow fits your existing tools.

Define success before the pilot

Choose a simple measure: time spent on the task, output quality or the amount of rework. Compare the pilot with the current process using representative examples.

Start small, then decide

Use the results to decide whether to improve, expand or stop. A focused pilot gives your company evidence for its next decision.
